Relive your childhood and introduce your own children to all things retro at a brand new exhibition from Ladybird!

Ladybird Make and Do Exhibition

The Ladybird Books Make and Do exhibition has been created in collaboration with the Museum of Reading and will tour to venues around the UK from September 2008, starting at Havant Museum.

The exhibition draws on material from the Ladybird Archive, the display will include twenty-four pieces of original artwork from Things to Make (1963), Tricks and Magic (1969), More Things to Make (1973) and Easy to Make Puppets (1973).

This display will also contain first editions, examples of the made items (see if you can recognise any of your own childhood attempts at handicraft!), a reading corner and the opportunity for visitors of all ages to make or do items from the books in a designated activity area.
